Beach Days Ahead

This week has warm temps forecasted and before the beaches are overwhelmed with tourists we took an evening and spent some quiet time out there.  We played at a little park off the beaten path and then walked down the boardwalk to get our toes wet and search for treasures. 

This was baby Dot's first real trip to the beach.  She was a bit nervous about the waves but with Daddy to keep her safe and a sister to show her how much fun it is to soak yourself to the skin, she soon realized how much fun it will be out here.  Unfortunately I brought a change of clothes for the wrong girl.  I did remember to bring dry towels for the car ride home.

Snuggled up in the backseat they both fell asleep before we ever got home.  Salty sea air will do that to a person.  Chinese takeout for the win.  It's funny how you can take for granted something great just because it's always available.

We plan to spend many more evenings and plenty of sunny days out here.  Especially before school starts.  A promise of many beach days ahead.
